NCCU Alumni Borrowing Privileges

NCCU Alumni Library Card Application

1. NCCU Alumni Card:

An alumnus may apply for a NCCU Alumni Card at the Alumni Service Center located next to the Security Office at the main entrance of NCCU.

2. Deposit:

(1) If you have an Alumni Lifetime Card (already paid NT$5,000 at the Alumni Service Center), no additional fee is required.

(2) Applicants with general NCCU Alumni Card have to pay NT$3,000 deposit. Please keep the receipt of the deposit for future refund.

3. Fill out the application form and submit to the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the Main Library. The NCCU Alumni Card will then be viewed as a valid Alumni Library Card and a new patron account will be created for library use.

4. Office hours for applications:

During the semester: Monday-Sunday, 8:00-21:30.
Library Hours for winter/summer vacation will vary and be announcedon the Library webpage.

◎To Renew an Alumni Library Card

The expiration date of Alumni Library Card is the same as that of the NCCU Alumni Card. A card holder may renew his/her library card by presenting a valid NCCU Alumni Card to a Circulation Desk and update persoanl contact information. To renew an Alumni Library Card is free of charge.

◎ To Return an Alumni Library Card

After applying for the Alumni Library Card for one year, the card holder who no longer needs the Library privileges may personally request to close the library account at the Circulation Desk of Main Library. By presenting the receipt, the deposit will be refunded. A 10% of deposit will be deducted, however, if the holder return the card within one year the date issued. Office hours for application , Monday to Friday, 8:00-21:30 during the semester and Monday to Frideay, 8:00-16:30 in winter/summer vacation.

Maximum Number of Borrowed Items, Loan Period, Renewal and Reserving a Book

Alumni may borrow up to 10 items for a loan period of three weeks and can renew items twice providing the item has no reservations.

The loan period of home edition AV materials is 7 days and itmes can be renewed once. There's no grace period for borrowing AV materials and the items must be returned directly to the Circulation Desks.

If an item you need has been checked out, log in to personal account to request a reservation.

Overdue Fines

The fine amount for normal circulation items is NT$5 per day per item while NT$30 for home version AV materials per day per item.
